It is important to invest time into KS3 to ensure deep understanding of concepts before entering GCSEs/IGCSEs.

By creating a strong foundation during the early years of Secondary School means:

  • Gaps in learning are identified & resolved before GCSEs

  • Your child builds genuine understanding of concepts, not just surface-level familiarity

  • Confidence grows steadily year on year

  • Your child enters Year 10 and GCSE studies ahead and is not not catching up

What Is KS3?

Key Stage 3 (KS3) covers Years 7, 8 and 9 — the first three years of secondary school.

It is the bridge between primary school and the GCSE years, and covers a broad curriculum across a wide range of subjects.

At KS3, students study a variety of subjects including:

  • English Language and Literature

  • Maths

  • Science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics)

  • Geography

  • History

  • Modern Foreign Languages (Spanish, French, German)
